About the Role
As our first Business Development Representative at ALIGNMT AI, you'll be a foundational member of our go-to-market team, directly shaping how we engage with healthcare institutions navigating the complexities of AI governance. You'll identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at health systems, payers, and healthcare technology companies who are seeking to deploy AI responsibly. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground floor and help define our sales processes, messaging, and market approach while working closely with our founding team. Responsibilities
Identify and qualify high-value opportunities within healthcare organizations implementing or planning to implement AI solutions
Conduct outbound prospecting through strategic outreach to CIOs, CTOs, Chief Medical Officers, and AI governance leaders
Articulate ALIGNMT AI's value proposition to technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex AI governance concepts into clear business benefits
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through research, networking, and strategic account mapping
Partner with leadership to develop and refine our ideal customer profile, sales playbook, and go-to-market strategy
Represent ALIGNMT AI at healthcare and AI conferences, building relationships and gathering market intelligence
Create and iterate on sales collateral, case studies, and proof points that resonate with healthcare decision-makers
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and inform product development priorities
You might be a good fit if you have:
2+ years of experience in B2B sales development, preferably selling technical solutions to enterprise customers
Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting and pipeline generation in complex, regulated industries
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage C-suite executives and technical stakeholders alike
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts related to AI, compliance, and healthcare IT
A consultative approach to sales with genuine interest in solving customer problems
Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
Experience using CRM systems and sales enablement tools to track and optimize performance
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Bonus qualifications. Don’t worry if you don’t have these:
Healthcare industry experience or familiarity with health system procurement processes
Understanding of AI/ML concepts and governance frameworks
Experience at an early-stage startup (Series A or earlier)
Track record of exceeding quota in previous SDR/BDR roles
Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, FDA regulations, etc.)
Existing network within healthcare technology or provider organizations
